Removing/cleaning archive?

I've created a new log with serendipity a month of 2 ago.
At the moment there are only 3 users, 1 category and 3 images in the media library. The log won't be used till august, but there are still archives created.

Is there an easy way to remove/clean the archive?

If not, what to edit/remove in the database-tables?

Hi!

You can simple delete old entries (via the serendipity panel), and if no old entries are present, serendipity will show no archives for those months in which no entries have yet been added.

There are no entries at all in the log.
It's completely empty.

But the archive-panel at the frontpage shows:

Selecting one of the links gives:

Er zijn geen bijdragen af te drukken

(Dutch for No entries to publish)

I made some testentries in the past, but as far as I can remember none in May.

Hi!

Usually serendipity displays archive links for all months plus at least 3 before them. You can configure the archives sidebar plugin to show 1 or 0 months beofre the current one, if you don't like that link.

I thought the archive would only be created when there were postings made.

If you go to your blog in august, it will only contain the links to the three past archives - you don't need to reinstall
