Getting 'Include Error' Message

Post by jumanjisama »

Hi all,

i need a bit of help here, i am not sure the reason, but my web is suddenly dead and it is giving out a message 'Include Error' everytime i wanna access my blog or the administration panel of my web.

You may have a look clicking on this link:http://www.technovice.net

Is there any apparent reason to this behavior? my web has been running for 3 months and has never encountered such problem.

Any suggestions and advice is really appreciated, thanks in advance

Hi!

An Include Error means that Serendipity is not able to include or read the file 'serendipity_config_local.inc.php'. This file holds the basic DB configuration that s9y needs to connect to your server.

Check via FTP if that file exists and is readable.

It might be that your web provider changed something?

Best regards,
Garvin

thanks for the extremely fast reply. I have asked my hosting provider about this, and unfortunately they replied by asking me to google it, just great. Anyway, since i have run out of ideas, i am planning to do a clean re installation of s9y and try to revive my web by using the backup interface, hopefully it will work.

Anyway, thanks again

Hi!

Did you use FTP to check if the mentioned file still exists?

Best regards,
Garvin

yes i did, the file was there and i have looked into the file, and the setting was right, i even doubled checked if i was just imagining it. I am pretty sure the hosting company has something to with it, but they don't wanna admit it is their fault.

Anyway, thanks for the help, at least i have learned something. I am currently trying to revive my web using the backup datas, so far everything is going well, with minimum data lost.

Hi!

Okay, I'm really sorry - hard to tell what went wrong there. My guess is that it might have to do with your hosting company as well. :(

I hope you get your blog up okay again. Come back here if you need more help or have questions!

Best regards,
Garvin
