GMap doesn't work correctly

Post by hackerart »

I installed the gmap plugin and entered the Google Maps API Key as well as Lat/Long. I tried different zoom-levels too, at the moment I use 10 and I cannot see a map. For details see: http://hackerart.at/

Hi!

Which Gmap plugin is that exactly? The "GeoTag" plugin?

I believe you have not entered a proper RSS url. Instead of "http://hackerart.at/feeds/index.rss2?all=1" try "http://hackerart.at/rss.php?version=2.0"?

I fear I cannot answer your questions exactly, since this is the 2nd time, I have problems to login. See http://www.s9y.org/forums/viewtopic.php?t=7970

Also I think I don't know some basic things, so maybe a link with some explanations would be fine. AFAIR it is the "Geotag Google Map"-plugin, which I used. I installed it only and filled out the fields. At the moment I use a test-blog to find out what I did. My aim is to show the location where I live in the sidebar or something similar. I don't know what to do with the RSS2 URL in combination with the blog.

Hi!

The Geotag plugin is focussed at showing locations of entries you made postings for, not where you live. So what you seem to want to use is a simple HTML nugget plugin where you paste the Google Map HTML and Javascript into to display your location; you actually don't need a dedicated plugin to show a static location.

The login problem I reply in the other thread.

Garvin
