i tried a few times installing this plugin, but it doesn't work, i mean, i can't even begin the installation, page 404 comes out instead with this message:
You don't have permission to access /serendipity_admin.php on this server.
i tried changing the permission of admin.php to all combination i could think of, except, 777. My parent folder's permission is 755, and i can't change it to 777, because if i do, page 505 will appear when i wanna visit my web.
Is there any solution to this, any alternatives?? any suggestions is really appreciated, thanks in advance

Hi!
Also ask your server admin if mod_security is enabled and preventing access?

Quite a lot of questions there
, anyway, my answers are:
1. I can access my admin page normally
2. I usually install all my plugins using Spartacus
3. s9y is installed immediately under the parent folder
4. My .htaccess only has codes written by s9y, eg.. the rewrite modes
unfortunately about the mod_security, i haven't receice an answer from my hosting about it. Just in case the mod_security is enabled and preventing access, does that mean i can't install the plugin??

Hi!
That's true, if mod_security is enabled and badly configured, it can prevent XML-RPC facilities (that's what mod_security is for, to block things like that). So you should get an answer from your provider most definitely.
Best regards,
Garvin
