Okay, now that I'm reasonably sure he's gone for his vacation, I'm opening the official "Show Garvin Some Love" thread. The idea is to come up with some humorous example of Garvin's awesome nature and post it here. When he gets back and reads all the comments, hopefully he'll be re-energized, at which point he'll code and release 2.0 before bedtime.
For those who are just arriving, Garvin is the God of Serendipity. He maintains and supports the whole kit and kaboodle, providing the awesome support that makes Serendipity world-class, the new features that make Serendipity stand out, and the watchful eye that keeps Serendipity as secure as a safe-deposit box.
So let's represent, people! Here's the first contribution, for the programmers:
Garvin is so awesome, when he codes an infinite loop, it finishes in 30 seconds. On a Pentium 100.
How Awesome Is Garvin?

I'll just point out that Garvin is so awesome that he has posted more in the forums than the top 104 posters (under him) combined.

Hi Guys!
I'm back from holiday, and when I saw this thread, you really all DID put a smile on my face.
A big thank you from me! Actually it is you who keeps me going, and be so entertained by the whole OpenSource community thing. It's YOU who are all awesome.
While I dug through the 154 postings that appeared during my absense, I was blown away - there were about only 5 or 6 postings in which I was able to give some feedback. The rest was more than perfectly handled by all of you. I see s9y as some kind of 'child of mine', and to see how it is walking on its own legs and lines of code is the biggest present you could make to me. I might even consider going on holidays more often because of this.
Have fun!
Best regards,
Garvin
