[hint] using feedburner's buzzboost with serendipity

Post by costa »

hello!

you propably know this by now but i just implemented this feature on my blog and it seems to be usable. so, if anyone does not know it by now...

first, go to see how it works on my page:
http://costa.kofeina.net/index.php?/pages/przeglad.html

it is in polish but ok, that's not a problem. as you can see, on the left there are some blocks of text with links above them. they're my latest (20 of them) entries, truncated in proper way (any images and unnecessary tags dropped), feeded not by my blog in this very moment but by feedburner.

now click on the header of the page, where "CoSTa's Family Page" phrase can be seen. as you can see, my theme shows only two latest entries and the rest is shown only by links on the right. not a very good way to navigate for a newcomer. so i came to idea to feed a newcomer with some more latest entries doing just a truncated preview of them. since i'm totally lame with smarty and coding, i came to idea of using feedburner's buzzboost.

to show what buzzboost offers, i used static page with a script. and that's all. easy way to add some functionality to your blog :)
