When one browses who is using s9y one can see that a lot of sites has deleted "powered by s9y".
Is it OK to do so? I have seen both commercial and private pages.
If one have a commercial site can one in any way "pay" or something to have the right to delete the "powered by s9y"?
Rules for using S9Y?

Re: Rules for using S9Y?
Hi!
The "powered by s9y" line is only a HTML sidebar plugin. People are free to remove those, if they want.
Only if a template has a 'powered by s9y' line in the original template, people are not allowed to remove that.
The key difference is that the one thing is a plugin - and plugins are always optional. But the other is a COPYRIGHT (in the template) and it is not allowed to remove copyrights.
So if you want to remove all s9y references, you must build your own template where no credits are inserted. Of course, any donations to the serendipity project or to developers are still warmly welcome
Best regards,
Garvin
