On my Serendipity log site some pictures (I guess they're GIFs) are shown just for half a second before disappearing. It happens for example in the calendar (the NEXT/PREV MONTH arrow), it also occurs in the administrator menu when I go to the 'select style template' area (the previews are shown only briefly).
So the software is capable of showing these pictures, but makes them disappear immediately. They also remain 'clickable'.
Who can tell me what is happening? Has it something to do with transparency that is being activated somehow?

It has to do with the Transparency, which the standards-incompatible Internet Explorer does not correctly display.
We do use JavaScript to get rid of the issue; just try reloading your page and have JavaScript activated. I could view your page here in my IE6 correctly.
