need help with Mobile Output plugin

Post by alpay »

Hello everyone... this is my first post. I started a serendipity blog this week, I think I've got a basic handle on how things work. i'd like to get some improvements...

I do most of my blog reading on my windows-mobile phone while on the train. I read via rss reader and everything is always predictably displayed, however, one must sometimes click through to view a blog post via web browser - sometimes blogs are formatted to fit my device, sometimes they're not, very irksome indeed.

My new blog, http://blog.LitStudios.com, using a modified bulletproof template, looks great in firefox but horrible in mobile IE. I manually installed the Mobile Output markup plugin, and i was able to administer it's options via the S9y admin gui. Now when I head over to the log with my WinMo6 phone, I get the error:

Fatal error: Class 'DOMDocument' not found in /home/u6/alpay/litstudios.com/blog/html/plugins/serendipity_event_mobile_output/mobile.class.php on line 53

any suggestions? I'm going to leave the broken Mobile Output plugin active for anyone who'd like to peep it. Thanks in advance for any advice.

Hi Alpay,
Here's a first thought - what version PHP are you running?
Second, can you output phpinfo() and post it, or look to make sure that DOM is enabled (and maybe ICONV too)?

I'll look into it, I'm using the preinstalled Serendipity server with my host, Aplus.net. I guess i can hit them up for support if their serverside stuff is not up to snuff.

thanks.
