Prevent Author from Allowing Comments

How can I prevent an author from allowing comments? Is there a way to force the 'default settings for new entries' on a group or user?

Hi!

Currently there is no way to do this, an author can always decide on his own whether he wants comments or not.

You can, however, enforce comment moderation by installing the Anti-Spam plugin and setting that comments always require approval.

also a quick way to stop most commenters would be to remove 'add comment' link from the tpl
