Passwording

Post by Scarlett2325 »

Is there a way to password a particular post so that the title of the post is shown but readers have to have the password to view it?

Yes, install the event plugin "Extended properties of entries". Then you can give a password when creating a blog entry.

I have installed the plug-in ... how do you make it password protected? I see where you can just make it so the author can see it.

Is there a way for everyone to see the title, but only people with my passoword can read the whole entry?

thanks!

Hi!

In the section where you can set sticky attributes, etc. you should also see the password option!

If not, please tell us which s9y version you are using.

I think version: Serendipity 1.1-beta5 and PHP 4.4.4

In that section it says:
Mark this entry as a Sticky Post
Hide from article overview / frontpage
Hide content in RSS

Entries can be read by:

Myself Everyone Co-authors

I don't see anything for 'password'

Hi!

It might be that your s9y version is too old. Just below under "entries can be read by" you should see a password field.
