Alert for news

Hello all,

I'm looking for a plugin (or an other solution) which permits to annonce to a group of user that a piece of news have been posted in a special category. The idea is to alert people by email that a new piece of informations is available. I didn't find any possibility to use email with serendipity.

Does someone has a solution?

Unfortunately, unless your readers are familiar with RSS, the only other option is to set up a mailing list in conjunction with the Send entries via E-mail plugin.

You set up a mailing list and have Serendipity post to that mailing list address, where it will notify joined users that a new post has been made.

or use feedburner, there is a way to give an e-mail-alert
