Ads

Post by rj »

Anyone have any idea how I could best grab the sidebars with the nuggets and get it all into a SHTML file for website sidebars? The ads which are in nuggets will be changing often... I need an efficient way of getting them into the 50 or so webpages to increase pageviews for them.

Hi!

You cannot do that via SHTML. But you can do it via PHP, the s9y framework and the Smarty API. That requires a solid knowledge of PHP and Smarty:

Well thats a project I will have to learn down the road.
I did find a quick fix.
PAGEVIEW copy and put into the SHTML.
It doesnt update of course, but I only have to do it once every day rather than 50 times everyday. But I havent got the ad campaign database going yet so maybe I can force all the ads to begin and end on the same day so I only have to do it once a week.
Trouble is I have a lot of tweaking to do with it in DM each time. I can probably get it down to a fairly fast system though.
Thanx!

PS: For anyone interested, the KEYWORD that brought me 50,000 pageviews in two days was... PARIS! :)
