Hello,
I'm using the " Erweiterte Eigenschaften von Artikeln" Plugin in S9Y 1.1.2.
How can I prevent the authors from setting an entrypassword?
I'm afraid, some of the authors may think they have to put their Login Password to this field.

Re: Disable setting entrypassword
Hi!
1. You can deny this plugin for usergroups of your authors. But then they cannot use any feature of the extended properties.
2. You can talk to your authors to not do that.
Best regards,
Garvin
There are two ways:How ca I prevent the authors from setting an entrypassword?
1. You can deny this plugin for usergroups of your authors. But then they cannot use any feature of the extended properties.
2. You can talk to your authors to not do that.

Most of the authors need the "permanent" (sticky?) Flag and the settings for the read permissions.garvinhicking wrote: 1. You can deny this plugin for usergroups of your authors. But then they cannot use any feature of the extended properties.
There are about 240 authors in the blog.garvinhicking wrote: 2. You can talk to your authors to not do that.![]()

Hi!

Internally, it's not easily possible to restrict certain options to certain users. It's either "deny the full plugin" or "allow the full plugin". Until now, no one has requested such a granular control over its options.

Garvin
Then you'll need to polish up your PHP skills and patch the plugin. Or pay someone to do that for you. Or find a volunteer to do it.Most of the authors need the "permanent" (sticky?) Flag and the settings for the read permissions.

Hi!
Regards,
Garvin
Go to the User group management panel, choose the usergroup you want to restrict, edit it and at the bottom of the page you can select which plugins are denied."1. You can deny this plugin for usergroups of your authors. But then they cannot use any feature of the extended properties. "
