GeSHi Plugin and huge amount of trackbacks

This is a huge amount of waste of resouce. when ever I highlight some page, there is a huge amount of XML-RPC calls.
Is there anyway to stop that from happening?

What do you mean with "highlight some page"?

Serendipity sends trackbacks to URLs detected in your postings! If you don'T want to do that, you can turn of trackbacks as described in the FAQ on www.s9y.org.
