Error editing entry.

Post by Don Chambers »

Hmm... never encountered this before. Tried to edit an existing entry. Get the error message "Can't execute the query because you have a conflicting read lock".

I changed me edit a few times, and ultimately one of the edit's worked, but I have no idea what caused the error in the first place.

Hi!

Are you using MySQL or postgresql? This messages comes straight fmro the database, not from serendipity...

Hi!

Hm, sounds like a strange MySQL, you should contact your system provider.

Or if you have set "use persistent connections" in your s9y, disable that setting again. This setting should only be enabled when someone knows what he/she is doing. :-)

Best regards,
Garvin

No persistent connections. Perhaps it was nothing more than a momentary lag on that server. Will let you know if it continues, or more than likely, contact my ISP. Thanks Garvin.
