Let me start off by saying Serendipity is a great application.
I searched the boards and the FAQ for an hour or so looking for the easiest way to do this but with no luck.
If I must change scripting a bit, which file would I find this?

Changing order in which sidebar plugins are displayed

You don´t have to do any coding to set the order of appearance of your sidebar items... just go to the backend, select "configure PlugIns".
When you see the list of active sidebar plugins, you'll notice a couple of dots on the top left corner of each plugin entry. You can reorder them by just "grabbing" on these dots and use simple drag & drop!
