Help! The Google blog search spider isn't finding my blogs?

I recently installed Serendepity and it seems to run fine. I also activated the RSS plugin and it seems to work okay, too.

The only problem is that the Google blog spider doesn't seem to be able to find my blogs. It's been nearly four weeks now. Mind, the regular Google search spider seems to find them, but when I post something on one of the blogs it never, ever shows up on the blog search.

I've tapped the RSS feeds, especially RSS 2.0, from my yahoo mail account that that seems to work fine. Reading over the Google Blog literature the blog apparently has to ping Google, which it doesn't, apparently even manually.

Can anybody clue me in as to what I'm getting wrong here?

Phew, I sadly don't have a clue what needs to be done for the google-blog-bot spider to crawl.

Maybe you need to install the google sitemap plugin for that?

No, it has nothing to do with the sitemap. But the good news is, it has nothing to with Serendipity either, as my personal weblog is indexed fine. I would guess, that the Google blogsearch spider is maybe just the normal Google spider or are there any hints, that this can't be?
