is there a module for letting normal people signup and become members.
i know theres a module to let people become users and post articles, but what i want is for people to be able to sign up and then they can leave comments.

Users can already comment without signing up - so you want to not allow normal people to comment? For members only?

There's no plugin been done for that yet, nor do I think this will happen. It's against the idea of blogs, IMHO. Commenting should be made as easy as possible.

I guess not sure how it goes against blogging.
I would jsut like it because on some sites i've run people like to be pains and post comments as either myself or other posters. and even as other users who post comments. just gets irritating.

Maybe you should then just globally activate Comment Moderation? So you'll aprove every comment first, if it happens often that users post 'bullsht'...?
