I'm too dumb to have a blog
I am trying to post a pdf file - do I need a special plug in? When I upload it to my Media Library, it comes in as an application/pdf, and a little red x in a square in the corner. When the x clicked, it opens the pdf file in a pdf/explorer window. Is there any way to capture the image, and post it in the blog?
Not so far as I'm aware; we do have a PDF plugin, but I think it goes the other way.
The only thing I could think of is to take a screenshot and add it to the Media Library.
The problem is that browsers only know how to display HTML, not PDF. Sometimes they use helper applications to display unknown formats, like PDF, but it doesn't include them as part of the original web page. It treats them like a separate document.

Hi!
When imagemagick is available and enabled in s9y, the first page of a PDF is used as a thimbnail.
This does not work with PHPs gdlib, as it has no functionality for that.
