serendipity xmlrpc and mod_security

hello

i like blogging via my offline blogging tool but there are some problems using s9y xmlrpc with mod_security.

png uploads will be denied and also entries with embed objects.
the funny thing on this is - same entry - same picture via xml rpc to an wordpress blog - same server - same mod_security works pretty fine.

why ?

What are the mod_security logging reasons? Why does it block something? There must be something in the error logs...

i dont know the reasons but now it works
i think mod_security updated some rulez which allows png upload.
the problem with embed objects is the syntax which can also be used for attacks.

Which offline blogging tool do you use? I am searching for one for me, and my favourite one (bloggar) has problems with s9y. So, perhaps yours is a new one to me.

are you using windows or mac os x


i bought ecto and it was a good buy.
there is also a windows version - try it.

for windows there are a lot of good freeware or open source offline blogging tools. use google or some forums.
