send emails after posting

I have just installed 1.0 and most of my readers are of an age that do not want to understand rss feeds. I am hoping that serendipity has a plugin that allows readers to subsribe to the entire blog site and receive email notifications whenever i update it. can anyone help me locate such a plugin as i have scoured the administrator suite and also the serendipity site with no luck. any help would be greatly appreciated.

Hi!

Serendipity is not a mailing list manager because it is not wise to send mailinglists via PHP. Thus, serendipity advises you to setup a mailinglist server or use one of the free mailinglist providers like Yahoo.

Then you can use the event plugin "Send Mail" (or something like that) to send new entries via e-mail to this configured mailinglist address.

You just enter the email address of your yahoo mailinglist in the plugin configuration!
