Fatal error message

Post by KJ1 »

Hello,

I have a message coming out as below.

Fatal error: Call to undefined function: serendipity_mb() in /home/auderghe/www/miopiano/include/functions.inc.php on line 82

This appears not always but often, what could be a problem?

Kind regards

there's a function inside functions.inc.php that uses php's mbstring extension.
do you know if your server has mbstring enabled?

The error message might happen if you use a language that is not available in s9y?! Do you know when it happens?

fatal error

Hi Garvin,

Yes, when I click together with "www" then it appears this message.

eg.

http://www.auderghem-analytica.com/miopiano

then

Fatal error: Call to undefined function: serendipity_mb() in /home/auderghe/www/miopiano/include/functions.inc.php on line 82

if

http://auderghem-analytica.com/miopiano

then the site arrives normally.

Very strange. It used to work correctly before and I did not change anything in the server but I changed some setting in plugins.

Since some people remember the site with "www", it is inconvenient...

Thank you for helping me again.

Hm, both URLs work fine for me! It mgiht be that you are logged in on the one URL, but not on the other one - and then the language of your author account might interfer?!

Really, then it is only for my PC...

" logged in on the one URL, but not on the other one - and then the language of your author account might interfer?! "

how this happen,,,I do not know but I also found the plugin as below in the sidebar plugin and made this yes... still no change.

Use https for login
Lets the login-link point to a https-location. Your webserver needs to support this! Yes No

But if it works for other people, it is okay.

Thank you :)

Hi again

The situation does not improve. The site does not open with my PC with www in front.

Now, without "www", it opens in one page but if I wanted to open with another page, it does not open.

Just this happens (also yesterday), What I was changing just was a language chooser plugin. Since I install this, and now I took off by delete function, the fatal error happens.

I deleted in plugin function as this Language chooser works only for certain languages (it seems that English and Japanese and French work only for my site), I took this off.

Maybe this language chooser, has something to do with it?

Did I do something wrong?

Your help will be appreciated.

Kind regards, :(

Well, it really works here on my site! I guess you have enabled the "Autodetect language" option in your s9y configuration. Disable that, and try again?

Thank you Garvin,

I made the followint to be NO.

Autodetect used HTTP-Host "NO"

Use visitor's browser language as default "NO"

No changes...

I will think about why and check my setting of the PC.

Thank you for your answer anyway.
