Hi,
I'm still looking for the best solution for my new transferred blog and the integration with iManager looks the best I've ever seen.
Now, because I'd like to have the users to login to view articles currently self-registering is provided through a plugin, but then the users are allowed to post into the blog, too.
Is there a chance to get some better user handling, or at have a permission control that self-registered users are being added to a group with level 1, but they're not allowed to add a post on to the blog?
Regards, Thomas

Re: Enabling self-registering, but disable blog-posting?
There is a permission that tells to "forbid creating entries" in recent versions of the plugin.
Serendipity 0.9 delivers a full permission privilege system, but the self-register plugin is not updated to take advantage of those new features.

Garvin

Does this mean that the current version of the plugin is working with 0.8.2 or not?garvinhicking wrote:There is a permission that tells to "forbid creating entries" in recent versions of the plugin.

0.9 is not scheduled yet. It will be at least a month because we will have a 2-3 weeks beta-testing QA period...
Thomas, the current version of the plugin should work fine with 0.8.2.
