s9y Blog as an Onion Service?

Post by NerdyAnarchist » Sun Mar 22, 2020 1:37 am

Hello,

I intend to set up my own Onion service that will primarily contain an s9y blog, and I was wondering if there's any known precedent of someone doing this and if so, if there were any unique security/anonymity concerns (e.g. IP leaks) in doing so, how they were dealt with, etc.

Thank you for this project! It looks really cool, and I hope it suits my needs!

I hope it works for you! I'm not aware of anyone trying this. You basically need to run Apache to use Serendipity, but I assume the onion service abstraction is one level below and shouldn't matter.

Is nginx a possibility, or is s9y an apache-only platform?

Apache only. It relies on .htaccess at for file access control and url rewrite.
