Hi, today I upgraded my local installation on a WinXP machine to the latest available snapshot from today and saw that the media database didn't display any images anymore. As content in the articles the output was alright (except the design but that's normal I think when using a 0.7.x design in 0.8...

Suggestion

Hi, I was totally surprised about supersized.org. Well done + thumbs up to those guys initialized that service. The only things I missed: - a directory where I can browse the already available blogs (or maybe a search function) - one point of the FAQ is misleading. The question "Can I import ev...

See the latest announcement in "Announcements". ;) The upgrade isn't a big deal. You just have to copy 3 or 4 files which have been changed between those two versions. Changing the version depends on the hits you get on your blog. v0.7 was attackable with cross-side scripting or SQL inject...

Hi, I just took a look on my server with s9y running and actually the only directory where s9y/httpd server needs write access is the upload directory. Maybe take a look also for the archives directory. But everything else can be chmoded to 755 or so (depending on which user is running the httpd dae...

Hi, well, I figured out why nothing was displayed. I have static pages on my website and the Romulus plugin caused that problem. I had to delete the static pages from the plugins menu and everything's allright now - except that the static pages are not stored locally. But generally it was a good tes...

Backup of S9Y for installing offline test system

Hi, maybe a fiddly question but I hope that you can help me. I exported today all tables from my live blog except the authors and config table. For testing reasons and development I installed XAMPP-lite on my home PC and installed it with the same version of serendipity as I have currently in the li...

Hi Garvin,

means that I can easily modify the letters and also use my own font if necessary by changing the arrays for the digits/letters and the one for the fonts.

Regards, Thomas

Hi, well, I a problem is the font used in the captchas. I saw that with s9y 3 different fonts are delivered. What font are used with the original capthas? And what dimension is used for? 0-9, a-z, A-Z, whatever which .png file is found in the directory? I think I'm going to modify the letters to any...

Spamprotection again

Hi, today I noticed while answering a comment that the spam protection (or comment module) returns after posting that the comment was not inserted because commenting of this article (1 day old) has been closed. Comments to the article are enabled, captchas too. Actually it is inserted. From some poi...

Hi, I solved the problem already myself. I wrote a little script that is included to the index.php at about line 15: ... header('Content-Type: text/html; charset='. LANG_CHARSET); include_once('redirect.php'); $track_referer = true; ... The script can be downloaded at http://www.tomscorner.at/redire...

Two domains on one address

Hi, I registered today a new domain for my account at my provider and want to use that one as the main domain in the future. But I don't want to loose the requests which are sent to the first one. I have now the idea to forward those requests to the new domainname, Example: http://www.example1.com/a...

I'm just stupid!

The problem was that I enabled the Spam protection twice. Solved it by removing one of them -> solved.

Sorry. :(

Comments not stored because article has expired

Hi, today a friend encountered a problem which I didn't recognize yet. Previously I had problems to run the comments because of a mistake in a plugin. Now this is solved and I was to see the capthas. Now when trying to add a comment a new error message appears: "Comment not added because the ar...
