Another way to do it (If your ISP can't) would be to add an index.html page containing this re-direct code: <html> <head> <title>Welcome to My Website</title> <META HTTP-EQUIV="refresh" CONTENT="0;URL=http://www.your_url.com/serendipity"> </head> <body> </body> </html> By changin...

Static Page problems

I've just downloaded the new Static Page plugin and it doesn't work. Firstly Spartacus failed in downloading it so I had to download manualy. Now there's no 'Static Pages' menu item on the Admin Sidebar! It doesn't even show up under the Event Plugins list! It's definitely in my plugins folder. Help...

I'm in a bit of a rush today, so briefly: First download it with Spartacus. A new menu item "Static Pages" appears in admin. Next to new entry press "go" A window opens similar to a "new Entry" page but with a few more options. This, when filled in is your new static pa...

The best way to create additional pages id by using the Static Pages event plugin. These extra pages then appear in your main window with your plugin bars visible.
They can contain any html you wish.
The other advantage is that they use the same CSS as the rest of your site.

Brilliant! Worked first time.

Thank you so much Judebert :D :D :D

This has really got to be the most useful mod I have ever made to any of my Serendipity websites - and so simple! I've already added it to all my client's sites. It makes life so much easier.

Nation-x - I tried yours but then every link opens a new page - neat, but a bit excessive.

dk70 - I'm afraid I can't get that Javascript to work anywhere without breaking the site. It needs to be in the <body> so i've tried content, entries and index.tpl's

Where did you use it?

I tend to agree with nation-x. We get so close to computers sometimes that we forget that 99.9% of computer users only turn them on once a week to look at email. add and HTML nugget put <BASE target="_blank"> I don't quite understand. Does this go in a head nugget do you mean? Surely an or...

Hmmm. I thought it would be something complicated like that.
Thus, the idea to use the sidebar calendar for this is conceptually a bit flaweed. I instead would suggest to use a freeform HTML calendar on the right sidebar, which is independent from the entry logic of s9y.
Any suggestions?

Calendar question

Is there any way to make the calendar show an event over several days? A problem has arisen on one of my sites where an event needs to be on the calendar every day of a week but obviously only shows up on the day that the post is dated. The only way to make it appear for seven days is to make seven ...

Hi d_cee I actually solved the major problem by using one of Carl's tutorials. Thanks for the link though, i'll take a look. Have a look: http://www.thewoodsman.biz Based on ceejay01 - i'm just starting on this site really so the template will probably change quite a lot. Carl, if you're out there, ...

Ooh! I'm not! I hate it when someone navigates away from one of my sites just because they have clicked a link. I want them to stay! And buy or commission stuff
