Hi Carl - and thanks :-)

I had thought of doing what you suggested but because I wanted to keep the image sizes small I decided to do it with the category icons instead. Small images allowed me to keep the system overhead low for (hopefully) fast page loads on dial up connections.

Hi Carl

I hope Rob helps :-)

I think Linus in the showcase forum was mentioning doing a plug in? Maybe he's worth a mail too

sorry

that's the trouble with rushing. OK so if I understand you need to change the bottom padding of the content container

div.serendipitySideBarContent
padding-left: 0px;
padding-bottom: 12px;
margin-bottom: 12px;

Hi bailey

the theme you're editing - green mile - is a little different from most themes. The sidebar title height is set by line height in serendipity_sidebar_title. reduce the line height you'll reduce the gap between side bar items

HTH - I'm a bit rushed going to catch the football on TV :)

Another quality theme Carl - great stuff! And, as you say, easy to change the banner image if you're that way inclined. Perhaps you should do a 'Beefcake' variation for balance. :D There's a really beatiful WP theme that was my inspiration for 'Joshua Tree'. I've been meaning to ask if you'd be inte...

'Kamouflage' theme available to download

Hi I finally found the time to finish my military theme based on Lordcoffee's excellent 'Green Mile'. 'Kamouflage' is a fixed width template with left and right sidebars. For those who are inclined, it should be easy to customise as I've used Carl Galloway's well commented CSS file - and tiling imag...

Hi Garvin

I've checked and templates_c is 777 and just in case there were any .tpl files missing from the default theme I copied it across from another blog that does work but I'm still getting the same error. :(

Any other ideas?

can't save entries

Hi when I try to save an entry in one of my blogs I'm getting the following error and the entry doesn't save. Warning: Smarty error: unable to read resource: "" in /var/www/vhosts/mydomain/subdomains/mysubdomain/httpdocs/bundled-libs/Smarty/libs/Smarty.class.php on line 1088 mydomain - bei...

Hi I've been reading the overnight comments with interest. Rob A - I've made a few 'powered by' chicklet mock-ups too but the discussion here is only about the logo/website at the moment. I can post them tonight if the concensus is that it would be useful. And Darryl I'm only suggesting that you guy...

Hi everyone

thanks for all the constructive comments so far - this is exactly the kind of feedback we need in order to progress towards the v1.0 release. keep the comments coming and we'll evaluate all the feedback in a day or two and post where it's going to take us then.

thanks again

Great work - and the most original theming of Serendipity I've seen.

I hope you'll think about designing some themes for the community.

well done with a great piece of design :D

right to left

Hi semaiyya

if you select "RTL-Languages v0.1" as your template in the style manager in your admin area your text will then run from right to left.

I'm afraid I can't help with the arabic language but I'm sure someone else will

Hi Carl

I rather like the theme but I thought I should let you know that the Google search box breaks out of the sidebar in Safari 2.

Migrating from Blogger

I seem to remember seeing a request for info migrating from blogger to Serendipity. Anyway, I found this article about moving to MT from blogger and wondered if there was anything that could be used for Serendipity by somebody far smarter than I. http://weblogs.about.com/od/weblogsoftwareandhosts/a/...
