Post not displaying properly

Post by abaker »

One of the professors in the department I support is having an issue with her posts. About 1 in 3 times she posts, the text is highlighted in white, and she has to manually go back and edit the post and highlight the text in black to get it to show up against her black background. I've been trying to track this down for a while now, but haven't had any luck. She's currently running version 0.8 b5 but she had this problem back with 0.7 as well, and is using the MT3 - chalkboard theme. We've been very dilligent about watching to see if there's something different she's doing when this happens, but even if she does the exact same thing each time, sometimes this problem will manifest, and other times it's fine. See the pic below to see what I'm talking about. Any ideas?

To me this looks like this person is using the WYSIWYG editor and tries to change the foreground/background color of the posts. That of course does not go well hand in hand with a template where this color is also specified.

Try to tell him/her that she shouldn't touch the font/background color panes in the htmlarea window for large amounts of text...?

She is in fact using the wysiwyg editor, but is not changing the background/foreground colors. She enters the text she wants (which looks fine in the editor) and when she posts, the "highlight" you see is applied. I am positive she's not changing the foreground/background colors on her own. When it does this, her work around is to actually go in and force the foreground & background to match her theme.

Thanks for your help, you have a great product!

Okay, if she is positive about not changing the color, I need the URL to the blog with such a "wrong" entry to debug this problem.
