Nitwit Problem!

I had some friends test the blog and found the biggest problem was they had no idea how to get to the blog from an article screen.
5 out of 5 could not figure it out!

ALL CATEGORIES of course...
So, what do you think?

Gosh...
Some giant blinking neon sign BACK TO BLOG link within the article page itself? And where and how?
I did an out of content digg which worked. I got a surge of about 500 coming to that article for two days. Out of that 1000 not one went beyond the article and to the blog itself. It could be just the artile was of interest and the blog was not. But... I tend to think its this problem too.
Besides not allowing anyone with an IQ below 9 on the blog, any suggestions?
RJ

Hi!
Or a click on the header, of course.
And some templates/themes offer a "homepage" link in the footer section.

It is VERY common that digg-propagated visitors only come to read that specific article and go nowhere else. That's usual.
But if it's important for you, go ahead and put a big blinking HOME sign in the header or footer section.

I found my own answer!
Pretty soon I will be designing code for blogs!
In FINDMORE I added a BACK TO BLOG link so its right there at the bottom of every article... It was a good idea by... ME! Good for ME!

I always put a "home" link in the sidebar top.

The tech quality of my visitors would cause them not to click on something that said HOME because they figure they are already home!

Unless they are at the office, and then they could get in trouble for beaming HOME before 5pm.
Been on the phone for hours with some of them to get them to make a submission. The problems are never blog related, they are all WINDOWS, BROWSER and MOUSE related... HIGHLIGHT AND RIGHT CLICK. 5 out of 5 never heard of that. None of them know where their files go, or what OS they are using, or how much memory they have, or even know something file manager exists.
And they spend about 5 hours on the computer at work and the same at home. And never hightlighted or used the right mouse button.
Amazing...
THis is perhaps the most negative dynamic of american life...
I DO NOT WANT TO LEARN NEW THINGS!

Since the name of your blog is the perceived front page, if you just change the style.css to make it look like a link, they might understand and click on it.
