TextMate and Metaweblog API

Has anyone successfully gotten Serendipity to work with TextMate's blogging bundle? TextMate works fine with WordPress, but when I try and hook it into Serendipity, I get the following issues:

Regardless of the changes I make to Pings and Comments headers in TextMate, they are not reflected back into the blog. TextMate, to be fair, always properly shows this by switching them back to "Off."

When I add a Category header, it gets sent properly to the blog, but then doesn't show up in TextMate after the entry is posted.

Are there unsupported features in Serendipity's XML-RPC handling? Any help would be appreciated.

Hi!

It might be that the pings/comments thing is not fully working. The XML-RPC plugin expects those fields as 'mt_allow_comments' and 'mt_allow_pings' fields, and I don't fully know if those get preoperly handled within TextMate.

Are you using the Blogger or MT API to post to the blog?

I myself sadly don't use XML-RPC blogging, so I can only try to help you in this regard with your help :)

Best regards,
Garvin

I believe TextMate uses the metaWeblog API... is that the same as MT?

Hi!

Oh dang, TextMate is for MacOS only and I don't have a Mac...so I'm afraid I can't really debug that unless someone helps me out with a Mac or VNC access to a running mac :-)
