Trackback spam

My blog is beseiged by trackback spam. I have to guess that it is automated because I'm getting over 1000 every day.

The blog software works perfectly by trapping it all. None of it gets posted. But the problem is that each one generates an email to me asking me if I want to approve it.

I have set 'Send Trackback Announcements' to NO in Personal Settings, but this action has not stopped the flood of emails.

What else can I do?

Martin

Hi!

You can configure the spamblock plugin and there you can set many methods to "REJECT" instead of "Moderate". This will cancel those notification emails.

As an admin user, you will always get notifications of trackbacks, because s9y thinks that moderation cannot take plae without any mail getting sent.
