Forcing a track back retry

I was posting a message to my blog today, and had trackbacks to two different URL's on the same blog. Well, after the first trackback ping, the other blog bounced the second saying I was pinging too fast. Now, I have found no way to force S9y to retry the trackback.

I deleted the reference to the page in the database, and I put the URL in the list of URL's to manually ping (I have the Trackback-Control plugin installed), but no dice. Every time I resave it, it just says trying the XML-RPC calls, but nothing is actually done.

How do I really convince Serendipity to retry a trackback URL?

Thanks!

Hi!

You can re-force a trackback by deleting all links in your entry, saving the entry as 'draft', then reinserting the links and save as 'publish'.

do you really mean to delete all links in the entry text or only in the "Weitere Links für Trackbacks"-field?

In the whole text. If you don't delete it, s9y won't truncate the serendipity_references table and thus will not recognize any links as new.

We made it tightly secure so that trackbacks will not accidently get sent out again. :)
