Now GoDaddy has allowed it's installs of Serendipity to be placed in a folder of your choosing (you used to have it installed at www.mysite.com/serendipity). I'd like to install serendipity with a path of mysite.com/blog. is there a way to forward from my old folder which will have nothing in it to the new?

The best way is to use an htaccess redirect. This has the advantage of simplicity and search engine bots will not penalise you and all your previous hard work getting your site into their index.
