Choosing Media

I am writing a blog where I include stock charts. These charts look very similar or identical in thumbnail view. So first I upload a half dozen or a dozen charts, then want to pick at them to include as I write the blog notes. But I can't differentiate between them very well just using the thumb since they are often similar at that size. It would be very helpful if the filename could be added to the select screen, so that I can use the filename to select the correct image. An additional helpful mod would be to have a "filename view" select dialog, without the thumbs and showing 30-50 files per page. As my blog grows, I expect that I will have hundreds or thousands of images in there.

Hi!

If you hover your mouse over the images, you should see the filename?

Apart frmo that, have a try at serendipity 1.1. The media manager has been completely redone there and now should server your needs better; it also shows the filename of an image.

Best regards,
Garvin

Thanks Garvin, I just loaded this a couple of weeks ago and started using it this week, did not realize there was a new version already.

Hi!

No problem. Serendipity 1.1 is still in beta-stage, but will be released in the next 1-2 weeks. You should be safe to try it out at this point. :)

Best regards,
Garvin
