i am searching for a cms/script, thats able to use for a site like this:
http://www.clipjunkie.com/
http://www.chumvideo.com/
and so on...
i used wordpress before but its not really good for something like that... you think s9y can handle this or is there any other cms, that could be better for that job?

You could configure Serendipity to mimic those sites, but really you're going to be putting in a lot of effort to get your template working, and functionally speaking its never going to be a workable solution if you're uploading videos regularly or if you want to search through the videos. Best bet would be to find another script that lets you do this.

Hi!
You can definitely use Serendipity for that, it's very flexible. Especially the Custom fields and event plugins can give you exactly what you need.
However, the best flexibility cannot come to terms if you don'T know how to use it.
So if you know how to use HTML, CSS, Smarty and/or some PHP, Serendipity is the tool for you.
If you are not familiar with those techniques, you will sadly either have to learn it, or pay someone to customize you Serendipity to the exent you need it. I personally don't know of any CMS that can do what you need - those kind of websites are currently almost always "hand-made" or based on a framework and customized (like Serendipity).

Garvin

thanks for the quick answers.
Is S9Y able:
1. to show a excerp of a post on mainpage and "read more" leads to the full-post?
2. to show random/relatet posts, after a full-post?

Yes to both questions.
1. this is included as a core feature of Serendipity, our entry editor includes two textboxes, one for the main body, and another for the extended entry. If the extended entry has content then a link to the full post is provided by default.
2. Install the related entries event plugin and choose your display options.
You'll find that Serendipity is literally one of the most powerful blog engines available, and many of our users actually use it as a full CMS by installing additional plugins. You should download a version 1.1 beta and try it out.

yeah, the perfect mix
is there any possiblity to use a variable to link to the extend-post?
when i add an link to extern site i add an image and link the thumb to the extern site, but what is when i want to link that thumb to the full-post (extend-post) - is it possible like "href='[link-to-fullpost]'" so that i dont need to find it out manual every time?
