Assorted blogs or topics

Do you think it's better to have two blogs if you have two distinct interests, or better to have separate categories for your interests on a single blog?

I've come to the conclusion that mixing two really different topics in one blog (i.e. blogging about PHP and S9Y in my
musicblog) doesn't work so well. That's why I'm currently setting up a second blog for all my programming stuff
Just my 2c.

I also don't like mixes, and will take that into account as I prep my next site.
Anyone else agree or not?

Hi
I run 2 blogs myself - I prefer it that way, keeping different interests separate. I do though read a number of other individual blogs that are well categorised that work well too,
