Hi,

I would like to have the latest artiicles displayed on my main site. What i mean is, my blog is in the directory...... site.com/blog .....and i would like for the latest articles to be displayed in site.com. How would i go about doing this? Isn't there a way to have a rss feed or something on your site that would show the latest?

Thanks

Matthew

Serendipity does include an RSS feed, so if you have some way to embed an RSS feed in your portal page, that would work.

Garvin wrote a bit of PHP to do something like that. Another version is here, too.

For more detailed formatting, you'll have to format the entries yourself, or modify your template files. We discuss custom formatting the latest entries for your portal page here.

There's also a plugin that lets you include entries on your portal page with JavaScript.

You could also modify your index.tpl to look like the portal page, and then redirect all calls to the portal page to the blog.

So, you can do it with PHP, PHP with custom templates, a plugin and JavaScript, or incorporating your portal into the template. Wow, have we skinned this cat enough ways?

I should add this to the Expert.

It's in the Expert now! Whew. It's under the "External Tools" category.
