Can multiple separate blogs use the same databse?

Hi,

I would like to install 3 blogs, as I am running 3 domains on the same site and each domain has a well determined profile. Can I use the same database for the 3 of them, in this case? If someone can help with an answer, I'd appreciate it a lot.

Thanks,

yes you can. BUT, this is important, when you install serendipity for each of these blogs, make sure each blog has different database prefix.

Also, depending on how much traffic you anticipate, and how many entries/plugins you install on each blog, your host might start to complain if your database gets too large or has too many connections. Be warned that many hosts will simply suspend your blogs if you abuse their mysql server. If you do plan to grow your blogs, it might be worthwhile getting three separate host accounts.

Thank you, Carl, this helped. (For what I need, I will go for the second alternative and get additional host accounts.)
