suggestion: mini shop plugin

a small shop on a static page, just big enough to sell a t-shirt

If all you want to do is sell a t-shirt, then really all you need to do is create your static page and provide a paypal link or other payment gateway link, and once the funds are received, ship the t-shirt. A dedicated shopping cart plugin wouldn't be required for that.

On the other hand if you wanted something more like oscommerce, I'm afraid that would probably require a lot of work to integrate into Serendipity, and in fact would probably be easier to integrate serendipity into oscommerce.

There are many other shopping carts available, some quite small, and possibly they could be turned into an event plugin like the forum or gallery plugins, and I'm sure someone would be happy to help you create this. I'd start by finding a small php shopping cart over at hotscripts.com, making sure that its screen footprint could fit into our usual content area (so that our regular templates can still be used), then make your request in the plugins forum.
