Is there anyway to block IP addresses

I've set my trackback spam plugin, and it's blocking most of my trackback spam. However, a few are still getting through. I've noticed that they are coming from a couple of the same IP addresses. Is there any way to block these trackbacks at the IP address level?

Hi!

The only reasonable way is to block IPs at the .htaccess level. Else, s9y would eat a lot of performance by only blocking something which should already be rejected by the webserver.

I think I found a better way, but also, I think I have found a bug.

Spartucus hasn't shown an update to the Spam blocker, and it was only after I did a rather extensive search here did I realize that a new update was available using Akismet (or whatever it's called). I downloaded the latest release, extracted the necessary file, and then installed it, and now it seems to be working fine.

But Spartucus doesn't seem to be showing updates like it should. Thought you should know.

Hi!

The spamblock plugin is an internal plugin that is only delivered with serendipty installations. It is not updatable via Spartacus, since the plugin is not maintained via spartacus. Internal plugins always are very reliant to the core serendipity version, so it makes to sense to allow upgrades for those plugins which usually rely on changed core features.

:)

Garvin

Ah, ok.

I was wondering why it wasn't showing any updates on that plug-in.
