Hi!
I just wanted to say that I love using serendipity.
I'm using serendipity to enter an SEO contest and I'm currently in 3rd place in the contest out of 216000 results.
I've found it so easy to build a whole site just using serendipity (I have other sites using it too but this one really shows how powerful it is!
you can see it at

Hi!
Good luck then. Tell us if you won

Maybe you'd like to make a donation then - or contribute a document to tell people how you configured s9y to win?
Best regards,
Garvin

Definately will do something - have to give credit where credit is due! (kind of like tipping the dealer!)
A long way to go though - the contest ends in October.

For anyone interested, I thought I'd post a contest update.
The first round of the contest was decided last night and my serendipity blog came in 2nd place - that's ranking #2 in Google for the search term ambatchdotcom seocontest out of 316000 results
One question though, and maybe I should open a new thread? I'm having trouble with the NL2BR plugin - it just doesn't seem to want to work!
I have tried taking it out and putting it back and putting it at the top of the events plugin list but it still doesn't provide line breaks and I end up having to go into the entries and do it manually. It does however show the line breaks in the preview.
I have several other blogs on serendipity and am not having this issue - just this one site.
Any suggestions?
Lisa
Oh, and while I'm here, a shameless request for backlinks... anyone with a site that would like to support my contest entry, I would greatly appreciate a link to
http://ambatch-dotcom-seocontest.com with the anchor ambatchdotcom seocontest.

Hi!
Can it be that you have enabled the "Caching" option of the "Extended Entry properties" plugin? If so, when you install a new markup plugin you need to rebuild the cache of all entries (using the link provided in the admin interface)

Garvin

Thank Garvin - I do, and I did try what you suggested but it didn't make a difference. However, I did try changing the style and found that some of the styles did not produce the line breaks and others do.
For example, I was using 'green mile' (which I loved by the way) but the line breaks dissapeared. I'm now using "idea" which is fine.
I don't know enough about the coding to figure out why but I thought I'd mention it.
Lisa
by the way - thanks to those of you who have added my link to your pages - If you pm me, I'll be sure to add you to my supporters page.
