What's the best way to import old livejournal entries?

Title says it all.

I've got a few years worth of entries on livejournal that I want to add to my new serendipity blog. I have the entries in a variety of formats: individual HTML files for each entry, one HTML file for the entire archive, one XML file for the archive...

What's the best solution for me? (I don't know PHP)

Thanks in advance!

Hi!

Sadly currently there is no importer for livejournal entries. I would be interested in quickly building one for you, if you could give me the XML file?

It should be quite easy :)

Best regards,
Garvin

Along this topic, has anyone tried out the 1.1-beta's ability to import LJ posts yet?

I've been running Serendipity since version .7 while running a LJ account at the same time. With the newer versions I'm very interested in making my Serendipity blog my primary one by importing all my LJ posts and using the LJ/Serendipity cross post module. I was debating running the beta now to do this now so I can switch to just the one, but I was curious about the LJ importer as I had mentioned first.

Hi!

I tried in the past, with the XML dump I got in this thread. It worked out for the original poster, so I'm quite optimistic that it should work for you :)

Best regards,
