[request] email notification for forum plugin

Post by SHRIKEE »

I would really like a notification if someone posted in my forum.
I see no need to send emails to other people. (to lower server use aswell)

Is this planned?
Does it exist already? and if so, where do i enable it :)

thanks a bunch!

Hi!

Judging by a very quick look at the code, the forum supports notifications like usual boards do: You can write a posting and enable a "watch this thread" option. I think there is no global option that sends every new forum posting to you. But I could be wrong; maybe you can contact the original author. The plugin is really huge, so I can't offer to help on this plugin, sadly...

Best regards,
Garvin

i found 2 textfields in the options which 'seem' to have something to do with email notifiers but it doesnt work somehow :(

i kinda was hoping the author would read this thread :)

and indeed i can subscribe to threads. but then i still have to check the forum every day or so to see if theres something to subscribe to
