Install doesn't finish in today's CVS

Post by randybrown »

I downloaded and istalled (3 times) today's CVS. The install process worked just fine until the last step. The script displayed that the db was created fine, etc., but did not display the link to go to the weblog.

When I tried to load the index.php, the script takes me back to the "you haven't installed...." line.

I know this is the CVS version, but thought I'd report my findings.

I reinstalled the latest beta and all is fine.

I'm using mysql and the tables are created in the install process. Going back to the current beta allowed the install process to finish all the way.

Hm, that's really bad, we need to get this one fixed before releasing.

Can you see if you have an PHP errors in any logfile? Can you check if the 'serendipity_config_local.inc.php' file is generated? Can you make a screenshot of the page after the installation?

Are the permissions of your directory exactly the same like the one you install the 'beta' into? Writable for the webserver user?

Thanks,
Garvin
