Error after Plug-In Update (CVS data is in read-only mode)

When updating the plug-ins after upgrading Serendipity to the current version, I got the following error message ... :shock:
(copying back the "old" plug-ins from the backup removed the error for the time being, but a plug-in update still does lead to the same error)

he php-blog project's CVS data is in read-only mode, so the project may have switched over to another source-code-management system. To check, visit the Project Summary Page for php-blog and see if the menubar lists a newer code repository, such as SVN or Git.

That appears to be a message from SourceForge, see

when accessing a project's file listings.
Probably in your serendipity_event_spartacus settings change File/Mirror location (files) from SourceForge.net to github.com and also have github.com for File/Mirror location (XML metadata).
