Hello,
I run my little blog with the awesome 2k11 theme by yellowled and I'm very happy with it.
But yesterday I visited this site and liked the very simple theme/template it's using.
My question: Is there a simple template like this site uses for Serendipity?

Hi, have a look to the plugins/templates link on this site. There is a template called 'simpla'. Maybe that's what you are looking for.

If it doesn't have to be a responsive/HTML5 theme, you might also like Base or Journalist, see http://yellowled.de/ports.html.

But if I consider the time and effort you must have put into grooming 2k11 to your liking, you might as well start learning HTML, CSS and Smarty properly and roll your own theme.

There's always Garvin's book, which covers templating as well. Also available on GitHub now. https://github.com/s9y/Book. Thanks yellowled for the book.

I am pretty sure that the template from w8l can be easily implemented in serendipity. I am no css guru or html scripter but I would love to have the theme if someone does it and wants to share it for free

It could be done without a doubt (like most WP themes), but this particular one doesn't show a note about it's license. I would therefore assume it doesn't have a free license. I, for one, would not recommend to port or copy something which doesn't explicitly allow being ported or copied.
