just installed serendipity on a Raspberry Pi
running debian squeeze
apache2
php
mysql
not a great blog but interesting to see how well it runs on a processor that consumes 3 watts !

Lovely domain name, too.
Very interesting to see this run on a Raspberry Pi. I guess that's a testament to s9y consuming not too many server ressources.

Single entries load greatly fast, but the homepage needs some time edit: hm, not always, maybe the difference is only on first load... Perfect site to try to optimize the performance.
Is the serendipity_event_entryproperties-plugin installed, with caching enabled?

thanks for the feedback guys, its difficult to test seed from this side of the router.
speed problems are caused by many things
its a normal adsl home broadband connection for a start
i have just installed serendipity_event_entryproperties-plugin thanks for the heads up, lets hope it doesn't impact he memory use too much, low memory is a bottleneck here i reckon
yes the domain has followed me around for years

after running this setup with apache2 on the rasberry pi for a few months the performance was too slow
i have now swapped over to lighttpd and now i would say its much more responsive
not bad now

Just enter the domain and you will get directed to the site. Serendipity appears to be installed in the root directory.
