Facebook's Open Graph Protocol?

Post by DrNI »

Dear S9Y professionals,

I was wondering whether there is a possibility to have og meta data created for posts in a s9y-based blog. The Findmore plugin puts nice like-buttons at the end of each post and with some tweaking with the template I really like it. But it would be quite cool if Facebook cold select an image and meta data from og headers automagically.

Is there a plugin that I have missed? Or any other cool ideas?

Thanks for your time and all the best

DrNI

P.S.: For those who have no BEEPing clue about og, check the meta tag section in the HTML source of this page: http://em.drni.de/em005 (or many others on the web....)

Hi!

Please checkout the serendipity_event_facebook plugin; this one provides the og: metadata...

Garvin, how stupid of me to overlook this plugin! Next time I should search for "facebook" in the plugin page. This plugin does exactly the thing I thought it should do.

Well, the back-posting of comments from Facebook, let's see... is there a way to turn that off if in doubt? :-)

Thanks a lot

Hi!

No problem, that's what this board is about. I fully understand that one cannot know every funtionality of every plugin easily, even I only know about 80% of the plugins I guess ;)

I think so!
