Back to "Factory Settings"

Hi,

I am planning to migrate my Blog from WP back to s9y (well, I missed it). Before bringing the new Blog online I am testing a few things. Which also means, that I am importing the WP-Articles, delete them and import them again.

Now I noticed that the IDs for the articles are increase. Let's say I have 500 articles. After importing and deleting them for the first time I import them again an the ID for the first article starts with 501. For me it is just some sort of cosmetics but I would like to see the first article ID starting with 1. I already tried to empty tables like _comments, _entries and some others, but without any success. What do I have to "reset" to assure that, after importing, the first used ID is 1?

regards
Ramon

Hi!

How did you delete them? If you use a "TRUNCATE TABLE" instead of "DELETE FRMO..." this will reset the auto_increment counter in MySQL.

Hi,

well, another reason to migrate to s9y. It's faster, the Core Developer is a "Bonner" (Weil wir die Bonner sind... :) ) and you get help in a quite short time. Now it works. Thanks!
